Singapore’s first overseas intellectual property (IP) representative office was launched by Acting Minister for Education and Senior Minister of State for Defence Ong Ye Kung at the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City in China on May 24, 2016.
The vision of IPOS’ China office is to present Singapore’s IP service providers access to the pool of opportunities in China, especially companies in the technology industry seeking to expand overseas as well as to promote Singapore’s IP products and services to Chinese companies that have set their sights on the dynamic ASEAN region. Lastly, the new office also affirms the deepening of bilateral intellectual property cooperation between the two countries.
