IPOS International expands IP collaborations with Japan through Industrial Property Cooperation Center (IPCC)

IPOS International signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Japan’s Industrial Property Cooperation Center (IPCC) on 14 November 2019 in Singapore. This is the first time IPCC has signed an MoU with an overseas organisation.

Inked by Daren Tang, Chairman, IPOS International and Takashi Suzuki, President, IPCC, the MoU will strengthen their partnership by appointing each other as a branch office in its respective country.

In recent years, the ability to search in the Chinese language has become essential due to the surge in number of Chinese publications each year. With IPOS International’s expertise in the Chinese language, it can now offer a holistic suite of IP services in native Chinese to Japanese companies through the IPCC. Similarly, various services such as prior art search in the Japanese language provided by IPCC can be used by enterprises in Singapore through IPOS International.

In the future, IPOS International and IPCC will collaborate to plan and develop cooperation projects that benefit both Singaporean and Japanese companies.
