The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) has launched a subsidiary, IPOS International, to supplement its offerings to promote business growth.
IPOS International will provide strategy and management services to both corporations and wider industries to support the commercialisation of intangible assets, specifically IP.
The new subsidiary will provide bespoke programmes and advisory services customised on an individual business basis to allow the construction of global innovation networks.
Daren Tang, chairman of IPOS International, commented: “As Singapore’s economy transforms, enterprises will increasingly turn to innovation to drive business growth. To support them on this challenging journey, we have decided to bring together over 100 of our IP experts under one roof to provide new solutions and tools for these enterprises.”
He continued: “We will also work closely with partners in government and the private sector, in Singapore and overseas, to offer holistic solutions to innovative enterprises as they scale up into the region and beyond.”
Furthermore, IPOS launched Skills Framework for IP in partnership with SkillsFuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore, a national-first guideline structure for IP skills development.
The initiative covers five key areas: commercialisation, litigation, management, strategy, and patent prosecution.
Emerging skills covered by the framework include business risk management, data visualisation, market entry strategy formulation, and IP commercialisation, monetisation and exploitation.View PDF
