IPOS-I’s Technology Foresighting Unit (TFU) wins at the Public Sector Transformation Awards

In conjunction with this year’s Public Service Week, the Public Sector Transformation Awards were awarded to recognise individuals and teams from the Public Service for their excellence in service delivery, innovation and best practices. IPOS-I’s Technology Foresighting Unit was awarded the ExCEL Innovation Project Award for its work in Patent Analytics.

Patent Analytics serves as an important data point in providing actionable intelligence that can help guide stakeholders in making data-driven and better-informed decisions. Working with the National Research Foundation (NRF) and partner agencies across the four Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) domains, TFU helps to solve their organisational challenges, identify worldwide trends, spot areas of opportunity as well as support Singapore’s R&D capability.

Head of TFU, Ms Ang Wunly, together with two members of the team, Dr Sun Ting and Dr Ng Kay Siong, were on hand at the Public Sector Transformation Awards Reception to receive the award from Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Trade & Industry and Minister-in-charge of the Public Service.

TFU was also one of over 30 exhibitors from the various Ministries and Stat Boards that were invited to feature their work at the Public Sector Transformation exhibition. The projects showcased best practices in the areas of innovation, transformation and collaboration across the public sector.
