Deputy Chief Executive Daren Tang Heng Shim, currently overseeing the Registries of the IP Office of Singapore (IPOS) and responsible for the development of Singapore’s IP regulatory regime will be the new Chief Executive of IPOS from Nov 16, 2015.
Mr Tang is also responsible for international IP negotiations, including those at the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) and World Trade Organization, as well as Free Trade Agreements – including the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement. “We welcome Mr Tang, as IPOS embarks on its next phase of development to build Singapore as an IP hub and work with other stakeholders to help drive innovation in Singapore”, says IPOS and the Ministry of Law (MinLaw).
