Since its official launch at the IP Week in September 2023, GoBusiness IP Grow has made notable progress in broadening enterprises’ access to IA/IP service providers and resources, empowering them to leverage their IA/IP for growth.
The GoBusiness IP Grow homepage has attracted more than 14,000 unique visitors and the usage of the two e-Adviser tools - e-Adviser for IP Service and e-Adviser for IP Service Provider - have surpassed 1,200, reflecting a growing interest for IA/IP services.
More than 300 key practice experts across 120 firms and 20 IA/IP service areas have listed their services on the platform, enriching the resources available to enterprise users. Notably, the trade mark agent service area hosts the highest number of service providers with over 60 firms.
As of March 2024, GoBusiness IP Grow has successfully facilitated over 650 connections between the listed service providers and enterprise users, reinforcing the platform’s role in fostering collaboration.
85 per cent of listed service providers have established at least one connection with an enterprise user, demonstrating the value of the platform in nurturing meaningful business relationships.
The top five most viewed IP services are trade mark agents, patent agents, contract drafting, freedom-to-operate, and IP marketplace, offering insights into the current IP priorities among enterprises.
In January 2024, the “I Have an Intellectual Property Question” feature was introduced to better support enterprises that are in the preliminary stages of their IP journey. With this new feature, users can easily submit IP questions that are specific to their business and receive written replies from the listed service providers that they select. This new feature is gaining interest from enterprise users, reflecting the demand for personalised assistance from the outset.
The first annual update exercise was conducted in March 2024 to ensure that the service provider profiles on GoBusiness IP Grow remain current for enterprises to receive the most relevant and up-to-date information for users.
Both service providers and enterprises have shared their positive experiences with GoBusiness IP Grow, acknowledging the value it brings to the IP ecosystem.
Mr Matthew English, Partner at Marks & Clerk Singapore LLP, commended the platform for its “invaluable support and resources”.
