Programme Overview

Held from 26 to 29 August 2024, the China-Singapore Intellectual Property Innovation Service Centre (IPISC) organised its second study trip to Singapore, bringing together participants to explore international collaboration and technology transfer. Designed for senior leaders across industries, the workshop aimed to bridge research and industry, accelerating the commercialisation of technological innovations.

 

Participant Profile

The programme welcomed 15 participants from China and 7 from Singapore, including C-suite executives, VPs, directors in R&D, technology and IP, and leading legal/IP professionals.

Programme Highlights

The four-day study trip featured a mix of case studies, site visits, and interactive discussions designed to enhance participants' expertise in technology transfer and international innovation collaboration.

  • Expert Insights: Technology transfer officers from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) shared best practices for translating academic research into marketable solutions
     
  • Campus Visit to NTU: Participants experienced a campus tour to understand Singapore’s academic ecosystem and student innovation culture
     
  • IP Week 2024: Participants attended IP Week to explore the latest trends in intellectual property and innovation, offering networking opportunities with industry leaders
