Andre Toh
Partner, Strategy and Transactions team

Andre Toh is the Asia Pacific Leader for Valuation, Modelling& Economics and a Partner of Ernst & Young’s Strategy and Transactions team in Singapore. He has more than 20 years of experience in various aspects of transaction advisory, including intellectual property valuation, mergers & acquisitions and sell-side advisory. Andre is also the ASEAN SaT market segment leader for Government & Public Sector.

His key focus includes business valuations, review of financial forecasts, due diligence, feasibility studies and formulating business plans. He has been involved in identifying and qualifying leads, pursuing and initiating engagements as well as negotiations and deal structuring.

Another area of specialization is the accounting aspects of a merger & acquisition transaction. In particular, Andre has wide experience in the valuation of intangible assets for tax purposes, purchase price allocation(PPA) in a business combination as well as impairment testing. 

Andre speaks regularly at forums and conferences on valuations, and has written various thought leadership articles on the subject. He has appeared as an expert in the Courts of Singapore as well as arbitration proceedings.

Chua Ai Leng
Partner, Strategy and Transactions team

Ai Leng is a Valuations, Modelling and Economics partner with Ernst & Young’s Strategy and Transactions team in Singapore. She has been with the team for more than 15 years, focusing on business valuations and financial modelling.  She has been involved in numerous engagements, ranging from valuation of companies, businesses, employee stock compensations and intangible assets for financial reporting, tax purposes, mergers & acquisition or litigation support. Her engagements include cross-border deals across ASEAN and United States for a diversified portfolio of clienteles. Her clientele spans from various industries, including healthcare, hospitality & tourism, telecommunication, infrastructure, technology and etc. She has also conducted valuation review work for over 100 companies that are listed on Singapore Stock Exchange for financial reporting purposes.

Ai Leng is one of the trainers for the VME teams in the ASEAN region. She also conducts regular trainings on valuation-related matters to the Assurance teams in Singapore. Since the inception of The Institute of Valuers and Appraisers, Singapore, Ai Leng has also lectured for the Chartered Valuer & Appraiser Programme for Singapore Accountancy Commission.
